Marshawn Lynch Agrees To New Contract With Seattle Seahawks: Report

Marshawn Lynch will be returning to the Seattle Seahawks next season.

The running back, who has made headlines for his on-field accomplishments as well as his off-field antics, signed a deal worth $11 million, according to a ESPN report published Friday afternoon.

The contract also includes a $1 million base salary, a $9 million signing bonus and a $1 million roster bonus, the outlet said.

Lynch has led the league in rushing yards and rush touchdowns since joining the Seahawks in 2010. However, the player also nicknamed "Beast Mode" is known perhaps just as much for statements (or rather, the lack thereof) that he's made outside the gridiron.

Ahead of Super Bowl XLIX, in which Lynch and the Seahawks lost to the New England Patriots and failed to repeat their 2014 championship victory, Lynch repeatedly ignored questions on media day.

"I'm just here so I won't get fined," Lynch answered to essentially every question in the 5-minute press conference.

Lynch also recently spoke about the interception that solidified the Patriots victory in February.

"To be honest with you, I would be lying if I didn't tell you that I was expecting the ball," Lynch told Turkish sports network NTV Spor.
