Former Singapore Leader Lee Kuan Yew's Condition Worsens



SINGAPORE, March 21 (Reuters) - The condition of Singapore's first prime minister, Lee Kuan Yew, has worsened, the prime minister's office said on Saturday.



In a Friday statement the government had said Lee remained critically ill.



The founding father of modern Singapore, Lee, who turned 91 last September, has been in hospital with severe pneumonia since Feb. 5. His son, Lee Hsien Loong, is Singapore's prime minister. (Reporting by Aradhana Aravindan; Editing by Clarence Fernandez)
